We are looking for adults on the autism spectrum to help us evaluate an emotion recognition computer program and online mentoring program.
Current computer programs for adults on the autism spectrum may be outdated. We need input from adults on the autism spectrum to evaluate the effectiveness and provide feedback on motivating and useful features for an emotion recognition computer program.
Participants will participate in an initial assessment to confirm eligibility, randomly allocated to the computer program and online mentoring group OR computer program only group for 10 weeks, and a follow up assessment after the program.
The time commitment to participate is approximately 1-2 hours each week.
The computer program is an interactive guide to emotions, containing a series of recordings and activities related to emotion recognition. In the online mentoring program, participants will meet with a mentor via video call (i.e. Zoom, which is similar to Skype) for an hour a week.
As a token of our appreciation for your participation, each participant will receive a $60 Coles/Myer voucher.
