safeTALK: Suicide alertness for everyone
safeTALK Suicide Awareness Training is a half-day training in suicide alertness. It helps participants recognise a person with thoughts of suicide and connect them with resources who can help them in choosing to live.
Participants don’t need any formal preparation to attend the training—anyone age 15 or older who wants to make a difference can learn the safeTALK steps.

Time: 3:30pm – 7:00pm

Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST)
ASIST is a two-day interactive workshop in suicide first-aid. ASIST teaches participants to recognise when someone may be at risk of suicide and work with them to create a plan that will support their immediate safety. Although ASIST is widely used by healthcare providers, participants don’t need any formal training to attend the workshop—ASIST can be learned and used by anyone.
Date: Monday 10 and Tuesday 11 August or Wednesday 19 and Thursday 20 August
Time: 9:00am – 5:00pm
