We are looking for adults on the autism spectrum to take part in our emotion recognition research project.

The aim of this research project is to determine if a computer-based program and or an online mentoring program will be beneficial for adults on the autism spectrum to explore understanding of emotions and potential tools to cope with certain social situation.

The online mentoring program, MindChip is a telehealth intervention, and each participant will meet with a mentor weekly via video conferencing (i.e. ZOOM, similar to Skype). The intervention modules are aimed towards exploring tools for emotion recognition and developing a toolbox of strategies to cope with potentially difficult situations.

Participants will participate in an initial assessment to confirm eligibility, randomly allocated to the computer program and online mentoring group OR computer-program only group for 10 weeks, and a follow-up assessment after the intervention. The time commitment to participate is approximately 1-2 hours each week.

If you are interested in participating or would like more information, please contact Julia Tang at julia.tang@postgrad.curtin.edu.au.
