Researchers at Curtin University are recruiting students to evaluate a new online suicide prevention training program: ‘Talk to Me: Improving mental health and suicide prevention in young adults’
The ‘Talk to Me’ program is an online suicide prevention intervention created to address the growing mental health needs of university students. The program contains six modules that cover positive mental health strategies, suicide and self-harm awareness, crisis communication skills, and current interventions.
This is a chance to learn new mental health skills, as well as support mental health research.
How do I get involved?
- Complete an online survey of questionnaires (approximately 30 – 45 minutes x 3) and a video assessment with multi-choice questions (approximately 30 minutes x 3) on mental health knowledge and your own mental health.
- Complete the ‘Talk to Me’ (online suicide intervention) program over 6 weeks between January and May 2021. Each module is around 1 – 2 hours long.
- Please see the flyer for a summary of the online program and all participation requirements.
To register your interest, start by completing the quick survey. Registrations close on 31 March 2021.
