You can represent Curtin University in a range of competitions against other universities across Australia. Travel across Australia or compete locally against our local rivals. There are both participation and competitive opportunities available, meaning everyone has a chance to represent Curtin.
Join the Carnabys Trainings
FREE sports training sessions for Curtin Students in the Main Arena every week. All levels of sporting ability welcome, women encouraged to play!
Uni Nationals is an annual competition that provides an opportunity for students to go head-to-head in a number of national standard sporting events. For more information on Uni Nationals, visit the UniSport Australia website. In 2025, Nationals will be held on the Gold Coast, QLD(Kombumerri), between Saturday 27 September and Friday 3 October.
Indigenous Nationals is a multi-sport competition for Indigenous students. The annual event brings together student-athletes from universities across Australia to compete in a variety of sports. The event will be contested in a mixed competition across touch football, basketball, netball, and volleyball. In 2025, the Indigenous Nationals will be held at UWA in Perth, Western Australia (Whadjuk), between Monday 23 June and Friday 27 June. For more information, visit the UniSport Australia website.

The Pride Cup offers an exciting opportunity for LGBTQIA+ students and their active allies* from universities across Western Australia to take part in an all-gender sports competition. This event is held in partnership with the LGBTQIA+ sports organisation, ‘Pride Cup.’
*Active Ally: Students who support LGBTQIA+ competitors in this event and openly advocate for the inclusion of all LGBTQIA+ individuals. Active Allies recognise the discrimination and harassment faced by many LGBTQIA+ people and commit to continuously learning how to be a more active ally.

This event is organised in partnership with the West Australian All Abilities Football Association (WAAAFA).

Carnabys Trainings
Curtin students are invited to participate in free sports training sessions at the Curtin Stadium. These sessions provide an opportunity to develop skills, with the option to represent Curtin in Intervarsity competitions throughout the year. These training sessions are open to all levels of experience, with the opportunity for growth and development.
The semester 1 program will run from Monday 10 March until Wednesday 4 June.
