The UBL is a national, student-only competition that exhibits each university’s best basketball talent.

Fourteen teams across six states will compete in the 2024 UBL season. Entering its third year, the Curtin Carnabys women’s side will be coached by Jonelle Morley. The men’s side will be coached by Ricky Grace and Juan McCauley Foo.

Meet the team

Coaches

Ricky Grace (Men’s Head Coach)

Perth Wildcat legend with six NBL awards and four All-NBL First Team selections under his belt. Ricky was selected for two NBL Anniversary Teams and ultimately inducted into the Australian Basketball Hall of Fame.

Juan McCauley Foo (Men’s Assistant Coach)

Juan is a well-versed basketball coach having coached at Scotch College, Iona Presentation College, Subiaco Basketball Club, UWA Sport, and more. He’s also completing his Master of Sport Coaching at UQ.

Jonelle Morley (Women’s Head Coach)

Jonelle is coming off the back of 3 amazing seasons as the NBL1 Women’s Coach at Warwick Senators, leading the team to NBL1 West and National Championship victories in 2022. We are very excited to have Jonelle on board leading our Womens team for 2024.
