Your ceremony

Ceremony timeline

Order of events	Details
Arrive at venue	We recommend arriving at the venue two hours before the ceremony begins. This will allow you time to find parking and complete pre-ceremony preparation.
	PRE-CEREMONY PREPARATION
Regalia collection	Collect your academic regalia from our regalia and ticketing partner GFP Events located in the GFP Events tent, outside the Curtin Stadium, Building 111.
Graduate information	You will be directed to locate your seat in the venue. A video will be played to show you how to cross the stage and doff your hat.
	CEREMONY
Academic procession	Stage party will proceed to the stage.
Ceremony commences	The ceremony commences with a Welcome to Country followed by singing the National Anthem Vice-Chancellor’s welcome speech Presentation of Higher Degree by Research graduates Presentation of graduates Graduation address Presentation of remaining graduates Chancellor’s Charge to the graduates
Ceremony close
Academic recession	Stage party will exit the stage
Alumni Festival	Graduates to unite with their families and friends in the Alumni Festival zone. Here you may pose for photos, collect and purchase stage photos, memorabilia and return hired regalia. Food vouchers may be redeemed at any of our vendors and you will find a bar to purchase drinks.

GFP Events

If you are attending a graduation ceremony in Perth, Kalgoorlie or Singapore you can hire or purchase Curtin academic regalia from our official provider GFP Events.

Information regarding regalia hire for ceremonies at other locations will be provided by your campus.

Collection

After arriving at the venue, scan your ticket and collect your academic regalia. Our regalia and ticketing partner GFP Events will assist in the fitting of your regalia.

Guests

Guest tickets

Guest tickets will be issued electronically to the guest’s mobile phone. All guests must display their electronic ticket to gain entry into the venue. Guests will not be able to enter without a valid ticket. If a guest does not have a mobile phone, their ticket can be sent to the mobile of an attending guest. Guests may print their tickets.

All graduates will receive two complimentary guest tickets. PhD graduates will receive four complimentary guest tickets.

Information regarding availability of guest tickets for purchase will be communicated to the graduate via Official Communication.

Children under 3

Children under 3 years of age do not require a ticket.
