Study load

When you enrol in units at Curtin you will have an enrolment load, or study load, that comprises credit points. Typically, a unit at Curtin is worth 25 credit points, however it does vary; you can check your units and the associated credit point weighting in eStudent (via OASIS).

Your enrolment study load is directly related to the course you are enrolled. This information is outlined in the Curtin courses handbook under the Course Structure heading.

Full-time study load

A full time study load for a standard course, equates to 200 credits per year (or 100 credits over 6 months). However, some courses may be structured where a full-time study load consists of more than 200 credits each year. Make sure to check the enrolment pattern your studies are offered in to determine what is considered full-time study for your course.

If a full-time study load is a requirement for an external factor (e.g. Centrelink payments, external programs etc.) you must confirm the amount of credits you must be undertaking to be deemed eligible with the provider directly.
