I believe that my experience as a mentor improved my self-esteem. Through mentoring, I learnt that I can communicate really well when I genuinely want to help people. I also think becoming friends with the other mentors improved my confidence. I thoroughly enjoyed the warm, supportive, and fun culture created by the mentors.

– Kaycee Gemaol, Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences

When interacting with students at the Mentor Hub during extended Orientation, the information that I provide students must be short and concise so that it can be easily understood and remembered. I believe this has allowed me to develop effective communication skills by providing information in a concise manner.

– Joey Chan, Bachelor of Education (Primary)
