HDR Hub

The Faculty’s HDR Hub (the Hub) is a fully equipped facilities designed to foster a supportive and collaborative research environment for our research students.

The Hub consists of working areas, desktop computers, phone (internal calls only), printing facilities, and a meeting room. It is equipped with fast Wi-Fi connectivity, multifunction copying and printing services and storage lockers.

The Hub is located at Building 407 Room 106, is completely open floor and available for all HDR students to access.

This space contains the following bookable facilities:

• 22 Hot Desks (equipped with 2 monitors and laptop dock): available for 4-hour timeslots
• 4 Desktop Computers (equipped with 1 monitor): available for 1-hour timeslots
• 3 Reading Desks (no monitors or ethernet port): available for 4-hour timeslots
• 2 Quiet Rooms (no monitors or desk): available for 1-hour timeslots
• 1 Meeting Room

All the above spaces must be booked via our new online booking system, up to 3 timeslots per day are permitted for each booking. Bookings are only open one week at a time and are approved on a first come first served basis, so we encourage you to book in advance.

As this is a hot desk space, please be courteous of your fellow HDR colleagues by removing all belongings and wiping down the station at the end of your booking.

There are plenty of lockers available to store your belongings in, which will need to be booked in advance and are allocated per semester.

This is a collaborative, open space and there are no offices available within the HDR Hub. To book a workspace, contact your supervisor for the booking link.
