When you enrol in units at Curtin you sometimes have an option which attendance mode you can use to complete your units. Attendance mode refers to how the unit is delivered to you.
At Curtin there are four modes available
Where you learn through regular ongoing face-to-face tutorials, lectures and laboratory sessions on campus on an agreed schedule, for the purposes of supervision or instruction.
Where some of the learning is provided by interacting with the Internet or downloading pre-packaged material, you also have regular or intensive face to face sessions that require you to attend campus.
Where the main mode of learning is provided by interacting with the Internet or downloading pre-packaged material from the Internet.
Where materials and assignments are distributed to you by post or via Internet. Learning is directed by structured materials and is effectively self-paced. External studies are delivered directly through the relevant Curtin teaching area or through Open University Australia.
If you are in Australia on a student visa you may have specific obligations regarding your attendance mode. Refer to information about international student visas.
