A sanction is a restriction placed on your OASIS account. You will be sanctioned if you do not complete a required task before the designated due date, or have performed an action which is against university policy.
Different sanctions will have different limitations, depending on their purpose and reason for application. Some of the common restrictions include: preventing future enrolment, ordering official documents and/or viewing your official end of study period results.
To find out which unresolved sanctions you currently have on your OASIS account, check your Sanctions Channel, located under the My Studies tab in OASIS.
In most cases, when you receive a sanction, you will also be sent an official communication (OC) with further comprehensive information, including the steps to resolve the sanction.
Watch our video below to learn more about your Sanctions Channel in OASIS.
You can also view the following video to help you navigate to your Official Communications Channel.
As each sanction is different, it’s best to refer to your sanctions channel or relevant OC for how to resolve your sanction.
Once you’ve taken the required steps to resolve a sanction, whether that’s completing a program or paying a fee, it can take approximately 24 hours for the sanction to lift. So for example, if you’ve just resolved a sanction that was preventing you from ordering official documents, you’ll need to wait 24 hours before you’ll be able to purchase your documents.
