Students as Partners brings students and staff together to create opportunities to work in a more reciprocal, mutually respectful, and meaningful way through consultation, collaboration, co-design and co-delivery.

Who can be involved?

Why is SaP important?

This approach is important for:

Enhancing student experience and engagement:

When students are actively involved in the process of learning and feel that they have a say in how their learning is structured, they are more likely to feel engaged and motivated.

Improving learning outcomes:

When students are active partners in their learning, they are more likely to take ownership of their actions and develop deeper understanding of the material.

Promoting student agency:

Students have more opportunities to make decisions and contribute to the learning process. This can help students develop important skills like critical thinking, communication, and leadership.

Encouraging innovation:

Students as Partners can encourage innovation and creativity in teaching and learning. Through collaboration, staff can benefit from the unique perspectives and insights that students bring to the conversation.

Sense of Community:

Students as Partners fosters a sense of community and collaboration between students and staff through the Community of Practice. This can help create a more inclusive and supportive learning environment
