The Curtin UniReady in Schools Program is a pathway which provides Year 11 and Year 12 students the opportunity to access the UniReady Program while at school.
The UniReady in Schools Program is an academic program designed to prepare Year 11 and Year 12 students for successful entry into higher education. The program offers a pathway into university by providing students with the essential skills and knowledge required for university-level studies, including academic literacy, numeracy, critical thinking, and discipline knowledge concepts and principles.
Students who complete the UniReady in Schools Program will be awarded Curtin’s minimum admission criteria of a 70 ATAR and English language proficiency.
Students are required to complete four units in total: two core and two optional.
Please note optional units are chosen by the participating school.
Information for New Schools
UniReady in Schools is operated and delivered by the school. Curtin University oversee setup of curriculum and university learning management systems, enrolments, results and moderation and student transition. Schools are responsible for:
choosing a preferred delivery model. All models either run over one year (Year 12) or over 2 years (Year 11 and Year 12)
choosing optional units available for their students
student selection criteria and the selection process
Students are required to use Curtin University systems and follow university policies. Curtin also provide parent information nights, Bentley campus tours and annual UniReady staff training and professional development.

Information for Parents and Students
The UniReady pathway prepares students for university by developing study and communication skills specific to university level requirements. Students can only access the UniReady in Schools Program if they are enrolled/registered at a participating UniReady School. Students who participate in the program are not only part of their school but also have a Curtin Student ID and are considered part of the Curtin community. To enrol in the UniReady in Schools program you must:
be a registered student at one of the participating schools
meet the selection criteria of the school

The cost of the program will be dependent on the school fees at your school. Fees are determined by the school.
Participating schools have different delivery models for the UniReady in Schools Program. Some schools offer the program over Year 11 and Year 12 while others offer the program in Year 12 only. Please contact your school directly to confirm which delivery model they offer.
