How do I change my citizenship or visa status?

UPDATED 09 SEP 2024 | 6:26AM

To change your citizenship or visa status you will need to:

  1. Complete a Change of citizenship / visa status form.
  2. Ensure you have a scanned original (colour) of your citizenship certificate or visa and the front page of your passport (photo page) at the ready to support your application. Please ensure that the documentation aligns with Curtin's documentation requirements.
  3. Submit your completed form and supporting documentation to Curtin Connect via their online enquiry form.

It is important that your residency status is accurate as this affects your fee liability. Requests must be lodged before the census date to be effective for the study period.

If you are changing your residency status from international student to a domestic student you may need to complete an electronic Commonwealth Assistance Form (eCAF) after your citizenship documents have been processed by Curtin Connect.
