Can I work as a lawyer as soon I've completed my degree?

UPDATED 05 SEP 2023 | 4:01PM

Not quite. Curtin's Bachelor of Laws (LLB) course is an academic qualification required for admission to practice; however, to practise law in Western Australia, you must also complete a recognised Professional Legal Training program (PLT).

Curtin is the only WA university that offers PLT approved by the Legal Practice Board of Western Australia, through the Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice.
