Most online content (including ebooks, ejournals and other documents) obtained through the Library databases is covered by a licence agreement or contract. Any use of this content would need to be in accordance with the terms and conditions of the relevant licence agreement. Generally, there is no problem using these materials for teaching or research purposes provided:
- You are a Curtin staff member or an enrolled Curtin student,
- Content is only made available to Curtin staff and students,
- You do not copy more than a substantial part of the resource, for example, more than one chapter or 10% of the words of a book, and
- You do not use the content for commercial purposes.
For more information about what is permitted under the Library Licence agreements refer to the Use of online library resources web page.
