Do I need to measure my head circumference for my graduation ceremony?

If you are purchasing a mortarboard, they are one-size-fits all, so you do not need to measure your head circumference.
If you are purchasing a tudor bonnet (only applicable for PhD graduates), you will need to measure your head circumference to obtain the correct sizing. As a guide, your head circumference should be measured from 4-5cm above the eyebrow, 2-3 cm above the top of your ears and around the back of your head. If you do not have a tape measure, simply use a piece of string and measure it against a ruler.
