If I have my own regalia, can I wear it to my graduation ceremony?

UPDATED 05 SEP 2024 | 6:55AM

Yes, you may wear your own regalia so long as it is Curtin approved and specific to your area and level of study.  For example, if you completed a masters degree, you may not wear bachelors regalia.

You can nominate to use your own regalia during the final step in completing your ceremony registration (booking your regalia, complimentary guest tickets and photography): select ‘own’ against each regalia item you have. If the degree you have completed is a higher level or in another discipline you will need to purchase a new sash.

Check with our regalia supplier GFP Graduations for more information or refer to the regalia page to find out which colour sash is required for your discipline.
