What if I don't meet the admission requirements for the course I want to study?

UPDATED 31 OCT 2018 | 6:20AM

Curtin University has options available for applicants who do not meet the minimum entry requirements to apply to Curtin. For alternative pathways please visit Flexible Entry Pathways.

Other pathways include:

Open Universities Australia (OUA) qualifications from OUA can qualify you for entry into Curtin. Students who complete two degree level units (minimum 25 credits each unit) with separate evidence of English competence will satisfy the University's minimum entry requirement. Students who complete four degree level units will meet minimum entry and English competency.

The Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT) is a nationally recognised set of tests that is offered by the Tertiary Institutions Service Centre (TISC) to help mature-age candidates gain entry to university. Please note: not all courses at Curtin accept the STAT. Please view the "Course Search" section at the TISC website for information on which Curtin courses accept the STAT.

If you do not meet the entry requirements or prerequisites for your chosen course please contact the Future Students Office on 1300 222 888 or via email at futurestudents@exchange.curtin.edu.au for further advice on alternative courses and how to achieve prerequisites via course switching.
