We offer a range of courses in business administration, from graduate certificate through to masters level. You can complete these courses in stages, starting with the graduate certificate and slowly building up to the Master of Business Administration.

This offering version is phasing out and no longer taking applications. You may be able to apply for a later version.

Overview

This course is ideal for students with a technical or non-business background wishing to develop an understanding of the functional areas of business. By provision of a broad coverage of core business related topics students will be well prepared to move into leadership and management roles.

Admission criteria

What you need in order to get into this course. There are different pathway options depending on your level of work and education experience.

There are two pathways into the Graduate Diploma in Business (GCB) degree program – one for applicants with an undergraduate degree and one for those without an undergraduate degree.

Applicants with an undergraduate degree must have all of the following:

Possess an undergraduate (or equivalent) degree from a recognised university;
Have a minimum three (3) years of professional work experience; and
Meet the English language proficiency requirements for this course.

For applicants without an undergraduate degree, it is only possible to apply for entry into the Graduate Certificate in Business (GCB) program. All applicants must have all of the following:

A minimum of eight (8) years of professional work experience including a number of years in a managerial capacity; and
Meet the English language proficiency requirements for this course

You will be required to submit supplementary information with your application.

Note: All applicants will need to submit a copy of their CV/Resume highlighting prior work experience and roles that they have held.

English requirements

Curtin requires all applicants to demonstrate proficiency in English. The personal statement written and provided by applicants will be used as an assessment to meet the English language requirement for the course.
