Overview
Overview
The Earth and Environmental Science major provides students a flexible and personalised approach to studying fundamental aspects of Earth dynamics and its interplay with environmental science. Earth scientists are essential to the resources and environmental industries and use sophisticated techniques for the analysis of Earth and planetary materials. Environmental scientists manage human impacts on the environment through the application of expertise in the physical and biological sciences to generate innovative and sustainable solutions to environmental issues. Graduates will be well placed to utilise skills such as monitoring the impact of industrial, urban. mining and agricultural development, measuring and analysing pollutants, and developing conservation and management plans.
