Overview
The Accounting stream includes mandatory units on research methods, contemporary accounting issues, and accounting research project, which aim to enhance knowledge of financial accounting regulations, analyse emerging issues, and perform financial analysis of a company. Students may also choose advanced units on analysis and visualisation of financial data or advanced econometric techniques, with the course culminating in a thesis on a topic of personal interest under a supervisor's guidance. Students are able to make real life contributions to wider industry by investigating the critical issues related to corporate governance, audit quality, tax, corporate social responsibility, management accounting and financial reporting quality.
