Overview

Overview

Mathematical models are created to analyse system's behaviours and forecast its response. These models use optimisation techniques to increase the efficiency and productivity of businesses and industries. This specialisation will provide a foundation for those who model and optimise operations of complex systems such as logistics, supply chains and transportation networks.

What you'll learn

  • Solve industrial optimisation modelling engineering problems of industrial and societal significance via innovative and creative design or research, working individually or in teams, GC2
  • Select and use current and emerging technologies to develop and communicate effective and innovative industrial optimisation modelling engineering solutions to complex problems, GC3
  • Demonstrate a conceptual understanding of fundamental science, mathematics, data analytics, information science, sustainability principles and/or computing, GC1
