If you're looking to build a career in construction, this short course is a great starting point. You’ll learn about the knowledge and skills required to manage construction projects on time and within budget.
A career in construction management offers opportunities to work on a variety of projects, combining technical knowledge with project management and leadership skills.
You’ll learn about:
- the principles and concepts of construction management in various contexts, relevant to paraprofessional work and/or further learning
- using critical and creative thinking and problem-solving skills to generate innovative solutions to construction management problems
- using technology appropriately to communicate with clients, planning approvers, builders and other stakeholders
- global perspectives on construction management and international construction management standards
- working professionally in teams and independently
- demonstrating life-long learning skills.
After completing this undergraduate certificate, you may gain entry to the Bachelor of Applied Science (Construction Management), with credit for the four units you've already completed.
Please note that in semester 2, 2024, this course is available to study part-time only. If you complete two units in semester 2 and two units in semester 1, 2025, you can apply to study the Bachelor of Applied Science (Construction Management) in semester 2, 2025.
