Human factors is the science of people at work. It is concerned with understanding human capabilities and limitations, and applying this knowledge to areas such as the design of: equipment, systems, tools, workplace environment, and work processes. As a result, this is a multidisciplinary area, which may include engineers, designers, managers, and psychologists. This minor will address the goals of enhancing safety, reducing and managing errors, enhancing occupational comfort, and increasing productivity.
