Can I apply for both Commonwealth Scholarships?

Yes, you can apply for both Commonwealth scholarships if you meet the eligibility crtieria. 

Curtin University offers Commonwealth Scholarships only to Indigenous students. They are:

  • Indigenous Commonwealth Education Scholarship (ICECS): For eligible Indigenous students undertaking an enabling, associate degree or bachelor degree who can demonstrate financial hardship.
  • Indigenous Commonwealth Accommodation Scholarship (ICAS): For eligible Indigenous students undertaking an enabling , associate degree, or bachelor degree who can demonstrate financial hardship and relocated / will be relocating to commence their study.

Please note: The ICECS cannot be held in conjunction with the Student Start-Up Scholarship / Loan offered through Centrelink or the Department of Veterans’ Affairs. The ICAS cannot be held in conjunction with the Relocation Scholarship / ABSTUDY Residential Costs Option offered through Centrelink.
