Why have I not received an electronic Commonwealth Assistance Notice?

UPDATED 09 OCT 2024 | 7:51AM

An electronic Commonwealth Assistance Notice (eCAN) is provided to you if you are receiving Government assistance (e.g. a Commonwealth Supported Place, a HELP loan) in a study period. An eCAN will generally be provided to you within 28 days of the study period census date.

You will not receive an eCAN if you are:

  • an international student
  • a domestic student studying in a fee-paying place and did not access FEE-HELP assistance
  • a higher degree by research student in a Research Training Scheme place
  • studying as a not for degree student
  • studying your units with Open Universities Australia (OUA) and are not Commonwealth supported.

If you believe you should have received an eCAN for a specific study period, please .
