When will an item which displays as On order or In process in the library catalogue be available?

UPDATED 31 JAN 2024 | 4:16AM

Items in the library catalogue may not be available yet and display as:

In Process - meaning the library has received a new item and it will normally be available within a couple of days;

On Order - meaning an item has been ordered for the library, but has not arrived yet.

Unfortunately, we cannot predict exactly how long it will take for our supplier to fill an order.

  • If it is an eBook, most items are available within a couple of days.
  • If it is a physical item, most items are available within 4 to 6 weeks of ordering, though the exact time depends on the supplier, postage and other factors.

We can add you as an interested user so that you will be notified when an item is available or you can simply check the library catalogue regularly for updates. If you require an item urgently, email details to libraryhelp@curtin.edu.au. We will investigate possible acceleration or alternative options.
