What is an Ungraded Pass grade?

UPDATED 17 DEC 2024 | 2:34AM

Students enrolled in eligible units during study periods that began in 2020 were given the option to convert their passing grade and mark into a grade-only format, referred to as an Ungraded Pass. This change preserved the pass for the unit but removed the associated marks, meaning it no longer contributed to the student's semester or course weighted averages.

The introduction of the Ungraded Pass system was a response to the disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, which affected students in varying ways. However, this option was phased out in 2021 and is no longer available.
